"The future of business is in machine learning"
Chudomir Monevsky, CEO of Plana Solutions, Business Start, 03.06.2019.
It's 150 years since the term Business Intelligence (BI) was coined, which means it's been just as many years since the revolution in business, thanks to which we no longer rely solely on our sense of smell, but also rely on statistics to develop our commercial and business niches. On this occasion, the CEO of Plana Solutions, Chudomir Monevsky, visited the studio of "Business Start" with host Hristo Nikolov to tell us a bit more about the term - what is its past, present and future in the world.
"Machine learning will be what drives business from here on out."
BI gives the necessary meaning to data because it doesn't bring any benefits on its own, Monevsky believes. In this way, the human begins to benefit not only from flair, but also from his experience.
"Business Intelligence solves the problem of ordering and retrieving the right information at the right time."
The first evidence of the use of BI dates back to the 4th century, when the church began to keep records of its affairs and to refer to them in its subsequent activities, Chudomir Monevsky further tells.
"The advent of IBM's hard drive marks the beginning of true data collection."
Collecting data and exploiting it in business is a matter of culture among managers, Monewski says. There are still companies in this country that use paper or Microsoft Excel, although there are more advanced cloud technologies for this purpose.
